    Hello all,

I’ve used PPro for years and never had a problem with the titles. I threw this simple video presentation together – white background, image and a title below. However, the text looks crisp in the title editor and then incredibly pixelated and rough in the preview window. Once rendered quality degrades even further and this 5-minute job is now taking days as I try and find out why. Example below

I’m using CS5 on a Mac Pro 24gb RAM, Lion OS.

Um, your video looks as bad as the titles… I think your problem has nothing to do with the text and has something to do with your sequence settings.

    Hi Ryan,

Besides verifying Sequence Settings, right-click in Program Monitor window and set Playback Resolution and Pause Resolution to FULL and see if that helps. Have you actually EXPORTED any sample clips to check end results?

    Thanks

make sure your title settings match your sequence settings, on top of what everyone already said.

    Thanks,
    Jason

Thanks John, Jeff & Jason for replying.

John, you’re right and I’m wondering if that sequence is corrupted because I created a brand new, but identical, sequence and it instantly looked sharper. However, the titles still aren’t great on the rendered clips unless I export in .mov (rather than H264)

Jeff, Playback and Paused resolution are both on HQ. No issue there, and yes, the rendered clips are terrible.

Jason, where on earth do I find title settings? I’ve never heard of them before, and Google doesn’t provide any answers. Thanks.

    Ryan
