Poor Quality of Rendered High Speed Playback
I am trying to create fast motion videos from a hood mounted 1080 X 60p Panasonic camcorder that I used to record my vacation travels over jeep trails. I changed the playback speed to 4X and then rendered to a number of different formats (MPEG-2,WMV AVI) all at 1080 resolution. All of the rendered videos look terrible with severe motion blur on the individual frames. The raw footage looks great with individual frames razor sharp. Is there any way to render high speed playback that preserves the quality of the original footage?
My newbee assumption was that to get to 4x playback, all that the renderer had to do was extract every 4th frame and throw away the rest. This is not what appears to be happening as the individual frames are processed to apparently transition across the dumped frames resulting in severe blurring. Any advice to restore image quality would be appreciated.

You must mean the TM700, 1080 60p. You can make custom project settings as well as .MP4 and .WMV renders to accomidate the 60p (59.94) and play them with an i7 computer. I do it all the time. Well, since I got the TM700. There are no project settings presets or render presets for that framerate. You have to type it in manually. Danny Hays

I got the solution on another forum. Resampling has to be disabled during rendering of fast playback events to eliminate the blurring I noted. This is done by right clicking events and selecting “Switches” and setting resampling to “disabled”.
