    Poor picture quality once imported

    I hope someone is able to help.

    I am currently having trouble with poor image quality once I have log and transfered my media from EX1 into Final cut pro 6.

    I transfer via the built in card slot on Apple MacBook Pro 17″ 2.33 GHz laptop.

    The image quality looks great when I play back directly from camera to 42″ Sony Bravia TV via the component out cable.

    The image almost appears as if the gain is switched to 18dB.

    I am filming on HQ 1920×1080 50i PAL camera settings.
    The FCP sequence settings are set to the Easy Setup XDCAM 1920x1080i50 setting.

    Any help or ideas appreciated.

    Use a capture card to view your final output. Your computer display does not show you full quality.

    Thanks Steve,

    I have also tried a test DVD burn with out any improvement in quality. Figured I couldn’t trust the computer screen quality as a final impression.
