  Poor image quality when sent to DVD pro or made a Quicktime

  I have seeen posts with similar problems. Moving images getting darker with lines when exported as quicktime or dvd mpeg. If I keyfame a few seconds in on the image it starts clear and then darkens with the move and has lines in it. When the move stops it brightens and looks good again. It does this when it is done in DVD pro or sent out as a quicktime. Is there a special way to handle still images from FCP. I am using the FCP 6.0.4
