  • Poor export quality in Premiere Pro 2.0

    Hey,

I’ve created a project in Premiere Pro 2.0. Its 25 mins shot with 2 cameras on a green screen. I’ve done up some animations in AE and brought into the project. Also theres a bunch of stills brought in from Photoshop. To key out my green screen I have used a plug in called DV Matte.

I’ve exprted it in the usual fashion. It took over 4 hours to export. The playback quality is very poor in that any movements play very jittery as if the fields or frames are out of whack..?? It’s unusable in this current state.

This is not the first time I’ve noticed this result after having multiple effects placed on a clip, on this machine.

Export settings were: Microsoft DV AVI, Embedding options=None, Compressor=DV NTSC, Million of Colours, 29.97fps, d1/DV NTSC (0.9), high quality, Recompress checked (Maintain Data Rate), bit depth=project settings, Lower field first, Optimize stills…

Anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

    -Thx

First thing – why did you check Recompress if you want best quality ?

Have you got the fieled orders correct? – do a short trial export.

    Thanks,

I don’t know why I was Recompressing.. Its still not perfect, but better.. I think it could be all the different types of footage I’m combining. I think I’ll tinker some more and live with whatever the I come up with is,

    Thanks Craig for your response.
