We shot a project on a DVX100 as 480i, 30fps, 16×9. It looks great played back from the tape to a 50″ screen. However, when we capture it in FCP7, or FCP6, it begins to alias along any diagonal edges. We have used capture presets of DV NTSC 48kHz and DV NTSC 48kHz anamorphic. We have tried the capture on both a MacBook Pro and an iMac. We have used two different playback decks to capture. We thought this was only in the editing, but it carries over when we burn a DVD. The end quality is very poor.

We would appreciate any suggestions to get our captured footage and final output to look as good as our original DV tape footage.
