  Pocket Wizard Multimax standalone

  I know the Pocket Wizard Multimax can be used as an intervalometer. My question is can I use it as an intervalometer with the Multimax receiver alone??? (no transmiter) I cannot get my hands on the standard remote – Canon TC80N3 in time before the gig.
