It really speeds things along. It also provides real time playback
in some situations that would require rendering if you didn’t have the Quadro.

There are better performing and way cheaper cards, but unfortunately they are not available for the Mac. Its rather a shame how limited the Mac choices are when it comes to hardware. 🙁

Exactly what Chris said. It’s well worth it to tap into the CUDA architecture (only available on Nvidia GPU’s). It’s really how PPro was made to run. You won’t regret it. Looks like you can pick one up on Amazon for about $713.
