png vs. targa
Can anyone explain the difference between PNG and targa files to me? I’m doing a project in flash, photoshop and ae, then editing in final cut pro. It’s an animated project–I’m creating my background images in Photoshop and doing my animations in flash. I’m exporting both my photoshop files and flash files into ae, where I’ll do camera moves, add filters and composite. I’m exporting the flash files as png sequences vs. swf’s. For the best possible quality, should I export my photoshop files as targa or png’s? I obviously need to keep alpha channels in all files. BTW, this is for the internet and tv–so my resolution is 720X540 with 72ppi at 24frames.
Thanks!
