I’m new to this HD and P2 world so I am sorry if this is a basic question, but what are the advantages/disadvantages to shooting in PN mode vs P mode?

24pN is actual 24 frames per second with no pulldown. Impossible with tape but a no-brainer on P2 cards. This mode gives you the most amount of footage at 24p on P2 cards.

    24 pn
    4 gig p2 card = 10 min
    8 gig p2 card = 20-21min
    I have 1 8g and 5 4g when i use the 8 and 4 together in the HVX200 i get 31 min.
