I haven’t updated any plug-ins for many years and it seems it’s time to do so. I mainly use basic “in-camera” style effects like color grads, edge blurs, etc. Also need some lighting efx as well.

Prefer packages that are truly compatible (and licensed) with AE CS4 as well as FCP. I’ve demo’d dozens but nothing seems to be jumping out as a winner.

I have no need for cheesy transitions and flying boxes, although I know some of those efx will find their way into most all packages.

    Opinions?

Red Giant Software has a lot of plugs that you can install in both FCP and AE.

Boris Continuum Complete is still the “Swiss Army Knife” of plugs for FCP with a little bit of everthing.

Noise Industries is also an outstanding supplier of plugs.

I have purchased many plug-in packs and find I use the Noise Industries set far more than the others.
