I have a new Mac Pro and I am loading all my software fresh, I have installed CS 5.5, then I loaded BCC 5.0 but I cannot see the plug-ins in any of my apps. They show up at this path – Macintosh HD/Applications/Adobe After Effects CS5.5/Plug-ins but I don’t see them when I launch the app. The same for Premiere. Can anyone shed some light on what I need to do so I can use these plug-ins? Thanks.

    Hi Jon,

I am assuming that you previously installed the plugins on your old machine, and you have the know-how to install the plugins on your new Mac Pro. (I’m super jealous of you for getting one of these gorgeous machines, by the way!)

Are you aware of whether the plugins are 64 bit or 32 bit? For CS 5.5 you’re going to need 64 bit versions of your plugins. That’s the main reason I’ve encountered that plugins do not show up.

    Hope this helps!

    Kind regards,
    Jonan

Not sure if they are 32 or 64 bit but I was able to get them to show up on my previous computer, an iMac, in Premiere Pro and After Effects. I know I had to do some finagling but I had hoped it would be more straight forward this time. Just going to keep hammering on it til I figure it out. Anybody else have a suggestion?

Did you find an answer for this question?

Was your previous computer running the same OS (Mavericks 10.9.3?)
