Is there a tool to help with for this issue? The footage appears to have at least +6db was used. This was a filmed in theater on an EX1 for a dance company. The stage had various degrees of lighting changes and I thought I had covered all the parameters with the rest of the crew. Except this one…Any suggestions would be a great help as always.

If certain parts of the footage is over-saturated you can use the levels control (right click in the timeline)in Video Event FX to alter the gamma along with the start and ending levels for the input and output. An you can keyframe just the parts you want changed. For more info click the Question mark in the Levels effect window.

It is not really an over saturated problem it caused it to be grainy like an old TV reception. Thanks for the reply

If it is to grainy, then the Neatvideo plugin for Vegas might help.

Thanks…I did see this and have downloaded the trial to see what it is capable of. Have you any experience with it?

Yes I use it sometimes. It’s good as long you don’t make it to strong (as is the case with most/all effects). But read the manual carefully before using it.

Will do that and see how it goes. Any suggestions on settings, things to avoid and such?

My best suggestion would be to make a special shot that you can use to create the noise profile. But is ofcourse to late now…

Can I go back and do that in the original location? Not sure exactly what you mean about creating a profile ahead of time. I’ve not had the chance to read through the manual yet but will today when I get a moment. Thanks again.
