    Pls help a new After Effector (caustics / water texture)

    Hi,

    I was wondering if someone could please point me in the right direction, either to a tutorial or just some pointer steps.

    I would like to try and recreate a water texture like the one on this webpage:

    I’d ideally like to recreate this in 720p

    I do no know of any Caustics tutorials that can be obtained online or free. Total Training’s older series include extensive information for the set of filters Brian Maffitt created for AE that include Shatter, Caustics, Card Dance, Foam, Radio Waves, Colorama, and others.

    Caustics is not too difficult to grasp but the range and number of adjustments is mind boggling. you don’t need most of them to get convincing water.
