and really, I know its missing some stuff but if you cannot adopt just stay with your
FCP7 and work on FCPX when you can, i bet there will be improvements in near
future, its just first version.

No Avid or Adobe salesperson here, although I own and use both (as well as FCS 3). They each have their respective strengths and weaknesses. While I agree it’s not useful to continually slam FCP X as worthless, there is some value in pointing out the strengths (and weaknesses) of competing systems, because it’s entirely truthful that FCP X will not meet the needs of a certain group of editors and it’s in their best interest to know where to turn.

I suspect in a week or two the forum will have shaken out. The lay of the land will have been established, and the people for whom FCP X is not an option will be diligently working on finding another solution instead of piping off here.

Wrong. I want their products. Very badly, actually. Because since yesterday they are the only viable option to get work done. So I am more than happy to hear suggestions and comments about other software. Cause tons and tons of people here will switch – some sooner and the still-in-Apple-believers a little later.

We’d better just let them complain for a while. What has happened with the release of FCPX isn’t like a standard upgrade. It’s not like the trolls that we’ve had in the past with other FCP upgrades complaining about the loss of LiveType. This is really a major deal. I’m not condoning trolls, but there are a lot of pro users who are very concerned with the future of this software. So I say:

SPEAK UP! IF YOU HATE IT, SAY IT! LET APPLE KNOW THAT YOU’RE MAD! JOIN THE REVOLUTION! (but please be civil while doing it 🙂

FCP7 is outdated with processing power, but right now it feels like FCPX might take years to get back to what FCP7 could do workflow wise.

He’s not saying, Don’t complain… He’s just saying Don’t troll threads. Several people are asking legitimate questions, or looking for solutions to problems and those threads are getting Trolled. That doesn’t help anyone. If you feel the need to bitch, Start a thread and bitch, or join another bitching thread. Don’t troll legitimate threads. Also Apple doesn’t read this message board…if you want to get their attention do it through the normal apple feedbak channels.

Trolls are always dumb, but with the release of FCPX, there are plenty of upset die-hard FCP7 users that could be accused of trolls. I just think that this is such a big deal that people should be allowed to complain.
