PLEASE REPORT AE pasting bug (Adobe people pay attention)
Hello folks,
After having seen on several posts on the cow and on adobe’s forum about people having issues with pasting text in AE and experiencing this myself on a regular basis I want to grab Adobe’s attention here on this forum (com’n guys we know you’re here somewhere!)
Basically what happens for people on PC using AE7 is that sometimes after copying and pasting text once you won’t be able to do it again a second time with different text, it will keep pasting the same text over and over. It even happened to me once with paths. I know people coming from illustrator had a lot of issues with their paths as well.
This might have to do with windows clipboard and its interaction with adobe scripting but I believe this is a strong bug that we should be able to clearly identify for Adobe to take it into account for an urgent update.

Yes I did report this bug already to adobe.
Thanks for posting this link, everybody who deals with this issue should definately report it on adobe’s site.
But if any of you have had some more experience with the bug and maybe found a solution please don’t forget to tell us about it.

I had this bug in 6.5. We then installed the AE7 30day trial and we could copy and paste fine.
The whole studio I’m freelancing at has since updated to 7 and have heard no complaints about it yet.Could this be something that gets corrupted elsewhere, ie. the clip folder where the copied text is held?
