please! motion crashes!

I’m thinking it would be more helpful to know what your machine is – CPU, RAM, OSX version, Mac form (imac, macbook, etc.), what else was running, video graphics card, etc. The crash stack is a bit superfluous since the error is: “Application Specific Information:
*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception ‘NSInvalidArgumentException’, reason: ‘-[FxBitmap setExtent:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x1ec81840′”

Now, has the error occurred again and again after reboot? after complete shutdown and restart? Made any hardware/software/OS changes (including system updates, software updates, or security updates) recently?

There’s a whole lot more needed to know. Remember to check the link above first as this will also give you some fix steps.

first of all thank you to help me 🙂

my mac is a imac G5 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo
memory ! GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Mac OSX Version 10.6.5

Video graphics its a PCI (but someone has been told me to change to PCI in the version info.list)

The problem still continues after restart and reboot….

I’ve made some updates for compressor, final cut updates and for motion also.

Huh. Well, I’m at the limit of what I know. I would remove at least Motion completely if not totally remove the entire suite, then reinstall (since the only fix left after DnR Motion doesn’t work, you will have to DnR the entire suite). I ran into this with my MacBookPro about a year ago and the only fix was a complete uninstall and reinstall – works great now. Also, looks like you have some unregistered plugins, framework problems, quartz composer errors, etc. Best fix – delete and reinstall.

https://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcs_remover.htm – does a great job of completely removing everything.
