Please help with animated text
I am trying to add animated text to a timeline.
Basics are I have a heartbeat sound effect that repeats and I want to have two words that pulse with the beats. As I slide the text along the timeline, the starting pulse is in a different place as if it is taking its starting reference point from the beginning of the timeline. Can I trick After Effects to thinking the current position in the timeline is 0.00 so that the starting pulse will begin where I want it to.
I found Bubble Pulse is suitable in the preset text animation and have set it to pulse words. The trouble I am having is getting it to pulse with the beat.
The pulse starts in the wrong place!
I have duplicated the text and have a new line in the timeline for each occasion of the heartbeat.
Would appreciate any help.

Why not work on the text effect in a preocmposition so that you can have the start at time 0.

Thank you for your response, please can you explain? Do I need to open new composition and create animated text 15 times and import each one to current timeline?
The pulsating text will repeat for 15 times with 15 heatbeats.

Yes. Create a new composition ONCE. DO the text effect there. Then drop this composition into your final composition. Place the nested composition where the first instance of the heartbeat should occur. Then duplicate it and place the copy where it should appear the second time. Do this until you’ve got 15 copies of the nested composition laid out in perfect timing, on your timeline.
There are other more elegant ways of doing it. But this hould set you up well.
