    Hi there.
Not getting much back on this one so I need someone’s help. As listed on a previous thread, I am having trouble bringing in large MXF files into Vegas 8.0c. I have checked this on 2 different installations and various drives with the same effect. I’m using a PDW F350 camera. Recording PAL DV 25MBps 16:9

    Could someone please try this:

Record 20 mins of footage as per the setting above and import into Vegas in a DV PAL Widescreen project. Don’t worry about building the peak file as it makes no difference.
Now scrub along to 17:30 and play. Does your sound cut out around 17:45 and possible picture break?

If so, we have a real problem with 8.0c accepting long clips. Version 7.0 does not.

Meanwhile, I’m back to 7.0 for the project and my beloved Excalibur.

    Many thanks,
    Simon.

    Sorry,
I am unable to run a test as such at the moment…But
nothing is wrong if you find a workaround as you have.

But it is indeed concerning that the newest vegas version
cant handle it, while the old version can.
