  PLEASE HELP!!! My system keeps crashing on start-up…..

  Sorry not really an FCP question, but I need help urgently, and the Decklink forum is very quiet…..

  Hello All,

  I’ve just installed the Decklink 5.7 drivers, and my entire system has crashed. I’ve got a job coming in the morning, a to be honest I’m stuffed if I can’t get my machine to work.
  I downloaded the drivers, and installed them. the dialogue box then prompted me to restart my system, which I did. Upon restart I only get as far as the grey Apple screen. Abox then apperas and tells me, “You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button for several seconds or press the restart button”.
  I’ve tried this several times, and no joy, my system still won’t start. The last time I tried it my G5 fans were going so fast I thought it was going to lift off my desk and fly out of the room.
  I’m using a Decklink HD card on a dual 2.5ghz G5 with 4 gb of RAM. I’m using 2 500gb external Firewire drives.
  Has anyone else had a problem with the new drivers?.
  Does anyone know how I can go into the system and remove the Decklink software, and restart my system?
  Any help would be greatfully received.
