Hello friends, I am learning blender and I am just working on modelling but I have noticed my blender or computer often lags when I create loop cuts or add modifiers. I am not talking about 50 loop cuts or 20 modifiers. I even just add few loop cuts in blender so it lags and same thing happens with mirror modifier when I add few times.

Someone told me that Graphic Card processing isn’t needed in modelling. Your CPU matters there. I am sharing my laptop specification, please tell me is it due to low system or I need to tweak settings in blender.

    I have Asus A15 laptop (model: FA506IH)
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 4600H with Radeon Graphics (12 CPUs) 3.0 GHz

    16 GB RAM

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650

    Hi Daniyal,

your laptop should be able to handle modeling in blender without any problems, you can try to:

1- make sure your graphics driver is up to date

2- reset blender to factory settings by going to File > Defaults > Load factory settings

reseting blender to factory settings will disable any addons you have, if it fixes your issue, than it might be an addon that’s causing the lag.

If that doesn’t help, check your task manager to see your system resources, maybe another program is using a lot of resources.

    Hey Daniyal,
Did you find any fix yet?

To improve performance, optimize Blender settings, ensure your hardware is up-to-date and well-ventilated, disable unnecessary add-ons, and simplify your scene if needed.

Your specs should be fine for basic modeling. Try tweaking viewport settings and make sure your drivers are updated. Reducing scene complexity might help with lag.
