Please Help Decklink SP and Tiger
I am setting up a new system with FCP 5.0 on a new 2 gig G5 with 10.4.1 OS
I have also installed a decklink SP card. I went to the blackmagic’s site and downloaded
the latest drivers for both FCP and Tiger. When I start up the system I am not getting
the video desttop on my NTSC monitor nor am I getting any preview from FCP. I have tried
uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers but still not luck. I have checked all connections.
I have even test the card in another 2gig G5 that does not have tiger and it works fine.
any help with this would be very much appreciated. -

It’s it’s a new Dual 2Ghz with PCI slots instead of PCI-X, it won’t work with any PCI capture card as there is an issue with the PCI based G5 Macs with capture cards.

Thanks Jonathan for your responce. It was not what I wanted to hear. I had figured that Apple would
have fix the PCI problem after there were noticed sent about the problem with the 1.8 system. I guess not.
I will be calling my Apple reseller tommorrow morning to figure out what to do.major bummer !!!!
