  • PLEASE HELP! audio not synced on mobile devices

    Hello!

I have turned here as a last resort ?‍♀️ I have a 30 minute video that I exported with the match source high bit rate settings selected. After checking the video on PC I have deleted the project files. HOWEVER! When downloaded onto mobile devices this 30 min video has issues with the audio. It becomes out of sync progressively. In VLC Media Player on PC it’s perfect. But on multiple mobile devices if you skip forward the audio won’t play for 3-4 seconds. If you try to cut the clip up with iPhones native clip editor there is no audio at all. This has never happened. It’s a HUGE issue ?‍♀️ I have tried loading the video and premier and exporting with different encoding, unlinking the audio and video and replacing the audio with an MP3 format in Audition. I can not figure this out and it’s costing me but time. If anyone has ideas I would really appreciate the help ?

    Where is this being delivered?

You are tasking something not sure what.

your video could be too much for that system to handle.

    The worse is OneDrive.

Do not use that as a review/playback option.

We use frame io for review and OneDrive for file delivery.

I make it known that if anyone complains while using OneDrive as a review site, they will get a scolding 😛

For all Social Media needs, we use the base AME High Bitrate h264 preset.

    Never have issues.

However, I had to up the VBR2 settings at times.

Thank you for the reply! ? so I used the same settings as you mentioned for export. This is a really weird issue. The only changes I have made are to update my programs. It has worked perfectly in the past. I use WeTransfer to send the files. The thing is it works on different media players on different PCs. QuickTime and VLC media player on 2 different PCs no issues ?‍♀️ But then on two different phones, when you download the video onto your phone and use the native IOS app, the audio becomes progressively out of sync and when you skip forward the audio won’t play at all for 3-4 seconds ?‍♀️ And if you try to save a clip of the video there is no sound at all. I have never seen this and have no idea what to do about it ?

The question to you is that why does it need to play within the mobile device?
That might be asking for too much of that phone.

I believe that most of us use the cloud as the playback option for anything mobile.

Well I sell long audio visualizer montages and about 1/2 of my customers are on mobile only. It has always worked for both before but not now. Perhaps I could export the video with reduced settings and see if the that resolves the issue? ? I’m just not sure what else to try.

Does the video have to be local on their phones?

    Yea that’s a tricky one.

Try much lower like 720p for video but make sure to keep your audio as high as possible.

It does need to be local on their phone. Yes it is quite tricky it seems ? I have tried exporting the video at 1080p with a medium bit rate. It’s helped maybe marginally but the issue is still as bad or close it seems. So really I’m not sure what else I can try. I will keep experimenting and see if I can fix the issue
