  PLease help: 2D photo texture change question

  Dear photoshop Wizards,
  I have a photo of a plastic machine that has a granite texture, I want to maintain the contours and lighting of the product in the photo but change its color, (Hue Shift based on selection, no problem.)

  The challenge I can’t figure is how to remove the granite or large grain looking surface texture without eliminating the contours and the lighting and partially glossy highlights on the machines. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
