Please confirm: 5.1.2 crashes with installed Avid codecs
Can you confirm this?
With installed Avid LE codecs, FCP 5.1.2 will crash on start
(PPC only as there is noch UB version of the Avid Codecs).
With FCP 5.1.1 it was fine …https://www.avid.com/content/7952/Avid%20CodecsLE120Macpkg.zip

have you guys tried reinstalling the avid codecs after you take them out? That seemed to help for me.

I tried. Still crashes. Take them out and everything is fine
