So the new toy PSP plays mpeg4’s. I tried exporting my project as an mpeg 4 but it does not play on my psp. Has anyone tried this yet and or know a solution for me? I would liek to be able to take multiple edits with me to NAB to show off without taking a laptop or a dvd player with multiple dvd’s. The mpeg4’s that come with the PSP and the ones you can download look amazing for quality.

    Thanks

    Ryan

    Try this:

I’ve heard good things about it – although never tried it myself… It should take a FCP export and transcode it to the correct codec for ya then stick it in the right part of the memory stick. (The PSP has a bloody awful directory structure IMHO)

It seems as though everything to try to encode ends up playing super fast. It is very weird. The audio plays fine but my video plays at about 4 times normal speed
