We’re producing a new documentary on the history of video games and we would like to include HD footage from Playstation 3 and X-Box 360 games whenever possible. However, when we plug the HDMI signals into the AJA box, Final Cut doesn’t recognize the video. It seems like there’s encryption on the HDMI signal.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

HDMI 1.3 spec might be the problem…the IO HD doesn’t accept encrypted signals.Use a component cable instead.

I do Playstation and XBox every day into the AJA product line.

    This is your solution –

    AJA HD10AVA. Works perfectly.

    Bob & Gustavo,

Thanks for taking the time to help and I appreciate the suggestions. I’ll try out the AJA HD10AVA and see how it goes.
