How do I get all the Codec’s I need on a Mac without installing FCP? This Mac-mini is for a conference room, and for playout only, so we’d like to use Quicktime for playback. Is installing the pro apps really necessary?

    Thanks.

Install the QMaster rendering node and I think those codecs as well as dvcpro-hd will install without needing to install final cut.

I really wish Apple would release the Codecs as a free download, and in an ideal world for Windows as well.
