    I have a 1920×1080 10bit file from a FCP edit. It is a 5.6GB file of a 15 second or so shot.

I need to compress this keeping it at 1920x1080res to email or ftp to a client in the next 24 hours.
When I open the file in QT7 the audio is OK but picture is white.
    I dont have FCP
Is there a fix to translate the FCP file to QT7 so I can then compress it?
Or anyother software on the web to translate?

Bottom line is to buy FCP for my laptop?

If you see white, then your home computer does not have the QT compnent nesseary to play back this file.

GO to Library Quicktime and copy the contents from your work computer to the home computer.

Then you will be able to view all of the codecs at home too.
