Playing 25GB MPEG2 file on Blue ray disc
A friend has asked me a question that I have no idea about. It appears that he was wondering if it would be possible to create an MPEG2 file to the normal MPEG2 spec except for file size, that would be in the 25-50GB range that could be played in a Blue Ray player. As I see it for this to happen DVDA would have to be able to create a file greater than 8.5GB & then by using DVDA & then either using DVDA or another program to burn the file onto a Blue ray disc that would then play on any Blue ray player. Then the Blue ray player would have to know what to do with it.
I think his idea is that he could then create one disc that would contain several other old family holiday DVD’s. Any thoughts on this? And would the menu’s work if the basic suggestion would works at all?
Thanks in advance
