Quite often when I am working on clips which have multiple effects applied to them (or masks, mattes, etc) , I will click on a spot in the timeline but the image itself does not update in the canvas or on external output, or I will only see picture from track 1 as it changes. If I simply highlight another clip (on a differnt track, but not moving the playhead itself) the canvas forces itself to update right away and shows the true composite.

Shouldnt I be able to click on different spots in the timeline and see the true composite image change in the canvas, no matter what, without having to ASLO select a different clip?

    Thx,
    Sterling
