Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Playhead Sync

Hello all. New to FCP. Heck, new to Apple! I have many questions, the first is… I pressed the “playhead sync” button on the canvas and began to get still frames and no video playback. I returned the playhead sync button to OFF, but to no avail, I’m still getting the still frames on both the canvas and viewer. Please point me in the right direction. I would be very grateful and will then pepper everyone with more questions. Thank you.

Post more about your setup. What Mac? OS? Version of FCP? and most important, what are you using as a scratch disk to store media files on?

Jerry, my system information is contained in my profile, I thought. For everyone’s convenience in the future, I’ve also added my system config in my profile signature. My scratch disc is one of my dual 400GB serial ATA’s.

Make sure you are running the latest drivers for the LS… I’ll bet the problem lies there. Also check that mirroring is turned on.
