    running cs 5.5 mac
    os x snow leopard
    Octocore Xeon
    16gb ram
    quadro 4000
    raid 5 fibre channel array

    1080P hd timeline.

getting a lot of stops and pauses during play back even when rendered green or yellow.

    pause/playback set for 1/4 rez.

it is a bit graphically intensive, but SHOULD play back fine once rendered (green line) shouldn’t it?

    any ideas?

Are these still the recommended driver versions for snow leopard:

    CUDA: 4.1.25

    Quadro 4000: 256.02.25flv1

looks as if these ARE the latest drivers from nvidia’s site.

On the positive side, I just so happened to have been getting new client supervised
jobs that really push the limits and could not have done them at all without premiere.
could REALLY use CS 6 like yesterday. 🙂

Unfortunate, this seems to be a common theme, APP 5.5 does NOT work GREAT on a Mac. Like the plea in the post above here, Adobe needs to make it right with regards to integration on a mac w/Premiere.
