  • Playback setting for HD downconvert on Decklink extreme?

Posted by Jason Adams on June 3, 2005 at 10:06 pm

I have a project setup with the Blackmagic HDTV 720p24 – 8bit sequence setting. All footage native format of sequence. What is the playback setting for the Downconvert to SD? When I use Blackmagic NTSC – 8 bit I get a still frame on playback, same results for any setting. Are there only certain HD formats supported? Product info seems to indicate any HD format, and couldn’t find any detail info in manual. I have also tried a DVCPRO HD project playback with the same results.

    Thanks

FCP5/Tiger/Declink5.0b2 driver. Declink extreme card. Dual 2ghz G5, 4.5gigs of ram. Playback from raid.

Try going into systempreferences/decklink, and switching HDTV Up/Down Converter output to SD

Restart computer. The video output in FCP should be set to Blackmagic HDTV 1080 8 bit. (or 720)

Fixed it for me, and even works with HDV.
