  • playback problem after render out.

    Hi all,
I render out in QT animation to check all videos for full res in real time, but on parts where there’s a piece of action like an explosion it freezes temporarily and skips to catch up woth itself, I could understand this in AE but this is happening after it’s been rendered out.

    How can I combat this?

It is most likely a bandwidth issue, your hard drive is having trouble keeping up with the high bitrate of the Animation codec at best quality.

You can try enabling Caching in the properties window for the .mov in QT Player, but I don’t think this will improve performance much. The other option, just for checking your file, is to export the Animation .mov to another codec with a lower bitrate.

for the record, uncompressed or even quicktime with animation compression, isn’t really designed to play on your computer. The purpose of uncompressed video is to be passed on to another program or to lay off to tape. But generally speaking these videos contain a lot of data in a small amount of time (as Darby mentioned), so you want to watch a compressed version of the video for best playback results.
