Playback problem
When I play clips or sequences, I hear the audio as normal, but the image on the clip window or sequence window is of the first frame when I hit play, then when i hit stop, the frame changes to that frame. No other frames play in between. Anyone know how to correct this? Thanks.

What graphics card and drivers are you using? What OS? What version of Avid? We need more details, but if I had to guess–
You’re using a non-certified card or the wrong drivers. If you have an ATI card, this is normal. You need an nVidia card (Quadro series, model number depends on version of Avid). Or, if you have an nVidia card, you’re running drivers that are too new or too old.

ok. It is an Avid Express and I believe its XP. I’ll find out tomorrow about the drivers hopefully. My supervisor said it was just some settting, which he forget which one it was, within Avid, as the cause of the non-playing video. That’s what i figured the problem was. The weird thing is, I’m almost positive there werent problems last year, but when I hooked it up this year, this problem, for some reason, is showing up. Thanks.
