Here is my setup before I get into it…

    Windows 10
    i7-4790K CPU
    Physical Memory 32gb
    Virtual Memory 36.7gb
2X AMD Radeon R9 390X in Crossfire Mode
    Overclocking around 10%
    Running playback quality at 1/4
1- 7200rpm WD Caviar Black 500gb (System Drive)
    1- 7200rpm WD Caviar 4tb (Media Drive)
    1- 7200rpm WD Caviar 2tb (Cache Drive)

I know I need to upgrade to SSD, but, the money isn’t available right now. There is no reason that I should be having playback lag with this level of a system. Every time I add Neat Video or any type of ram intensive effect to my timeline (like track motion or any physical frame movement) it basically lags to a point where I can’t view it. Help…

Neat Video is one of those processor-hungry FX. Even on your machine.

If you take Neat Video off, and the problem goes away, well, there it is!

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2015.02 (as of 6/2016)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from HD MP4 and P2 MXF.
