Playback Issues – XL1 going nuts!
Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my Cannon XL1. When I turn it on into playback mode the tape automatically starts rewinding. Whenever I try to play the tape back, or stop the tape nothing happens.
To actually view my footage and stop this happening I have to hook the camera up to my PC via firewire and play the footage back using premiere. If I try to use the playback buttons on the camera itself nothing happens.
The recording is fine and I have also tried the XL1 remote, which, strangely does not do anything.
Any ideas, or does anyone know if a good UK based camera repair store (pref. online so I can email them)?

Your XL1 needs a repair. You need to decide if the repair costs are worth it or not…
