I am trying to do a Ram preview. I keep getting a message saying ram need 2 or more frames for playback, but I have my whole comp selected in the work area. Anyone have this happen? know how to fix it

You may have “Always Preview This View” selected. And maybe that view has no frames. Bottom left of the comp window. Looks like a teevee screen.

If your saying that, you have been working with this setup for sometime and it worked in the past and your on a mac and you haven’t change your preview settings and you don’t have other comps open and your work area is set to the length you want to preview, then purge all (its a menu choice) and try the ram preview again.

in time controls, if the ‘ram preview options’ (versus the ‘shift-ram preview options’) are set to start the ram preview ‘from current time’ (check box option), and you are on the last frame of you comp, you will get this error.

uncheck the option or go to a different frame in the comp and ram preview
