Playback Freeze
I looked through the forms a bit and am not seeing this issue posted. Thought I should bring it up. I have been working in FCPX for a few weeks now on some long (2hr+) projects.
On the most recent of these projects, I have suddenly started having some very strange playback issues.
When using JKL to scroll through my timeline I find the image freezing when I speed up the playback, the audio comes through, but the image freezes until I pause. If I go in reverse, the problem isn’t there. It seems to happen randomly, one hour its clip x that won’t properly playback, an hour later that clip is fine, and clip y now has playback issues, doesn’t seem to matter if the clip is rendered or not.I have already tried the following methods to deal with this issue.
1. Trashing my prefrences.
2. Tacking off all effects on problem clips.
3. Copying all clips from the original project into a new project in the same event.
4. Copying all clips from the original project into a new project in a new event.I’m running on fcpx 10.0.2 and my macpro is top of the line so it’s not my hardware.
Everything I’ve shot and edited for these projects was created in the same way.

Imported from camera via fcp 7 and transferred to an external (no longer in 7’s capture scratch)
Imported into 10, not merged into fcpx event folder, no proxy or optimized media created.Edited and exported w/o issue.
I used this method to avoid any lost media and it does lead to some large render folders but it has not caused any playback issues until now.
I edited 4 projects just like this in fcpx, no updates or adjustments wee made to my computer between that one and the last, cannot figure out what could have suddenly caused such problems.any ideas? Thanks in advance.
