  • Playback/Export error on stacked audio clips

I’m trying to stack a bunch of whoosh sound effects over a small period of time (see screenshot).

On playback and export only first effect plays. The rest are totally ignored. Currently this setup is on a stacked audio track but I’ve tried on separate tracks and am seeing the same result.

Any idea what I’m missing? Many thanks!

Clip stacking on a track works by only playing the top layer. This is normal. The idea is to keep layers underneath without deleting them and to also be able to cross fade between the top layer and the layer immediately underneath. It’s a great way to edit dialog and music without splitting over a whole lot of tracks.

If you want to hear all the layers, they need to be on separate tracks.

And if you aren’t hearing them all when they are on separate tracks then you need to check clip level, track level and routing
