Play button becoming unresponsive
I’m working on Premiere Pro CC 2015 I’ve been having an issue for a while where the “play” button in the program monitor will just stop working and I’ll need to restart premiere to fix it. It’s been happening more frequently lately for some reason. Essentially i’ll be editing and then I’ll switch to another app for a few minutes, and when I switch back and hit play in the timeline I will see the button switch from the square for stop to the triangle for play, but it won’t play. Let me know what you think it might be.

If you’re using a Windows PC, open the sound panel and make sure that your playback device has it’s switching set to use the application that has focus (exclusive mode):
