    Hello sir,i am new to here.
    i have face 2 problems in avid.i hope anyone can solve my problems.

    i am working as freelance editor.using avid xpress pro.

    my problems

    1.when i playback video on xpress pro the color of the video is become too lighter.but when i stop the playback or drag the mouse over timeline there is no problem at all.

    2.media composer all versions not working properly on my system.when i am playback video.its playing only one frame.after that it will be stopped.

    My system Configuaration

    Asus mother board
    AMD athlon x64 core 2 dual 4400+ ,2.31 Mhz
    Nvidia geforce 8400 Gs 1gb ddr3 64 bit
    3GB of my ram
    intex sound card
    windows xp sp2 32 bit
    500 GB internal hard drive

    what is problem in my system?…plz help me any one?

    Please check the Avid Knowledgebase for this known issue. It is because of the graphics card overlay uses a different mechanism for playback. The knowledgebase can help you adjust to the proper settings.

    Regarding issue #2, there is a setting within the capture settings to digitize one frame only of video. Do you have that checked?

    hi hello tanq 4 ur reply,i am using media composer 4.0,there is no option(digitize one frame only of video) what u tell.plz help me.

    Not sure if this is the answer, but did you check your draft playback mode in the bottom of the timeline? It’s a green square for full quality, green and yellow for medium, and all yellow for draft. If it’s in draft or even medium quality, the video would playback in lower quality than if the cursor is parked. This is done so you can view effects, etc. without having to render. To change this, just click on the box until it’s all green.
