Play Apple ProRes files in Windows 10?
I just switched from Mac to PC. I’ve hundreds of gigabytes of Apple ProRes-footage. When I play a ProRes-file with “Windows Media Player” or “Pictures”, I hear the sound but there’s no image.
Is there any way to play ProRes-files in Windows?
Adobe applications like Premiere and After Effects can play them, and also QuickLook (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/quicklook/9nv4bs3l1h4s), but I wish there was some kind of built-in video player to play these.
QuickLook works great, it’s just a bit annoying to use since it lacks features like scrubbing the video…

QuickLook does have a little scrub bar.
VLC is a good open-source media player you could use.
If I need to fly through a lot of videos, though, I’ll usually just open up Premiere and scrub around with the Media Browser.
