Play alpha and RGB at the same time
Is it possible to play alpha AND RGB at the same time on two different outputs ? (If the hardware allows, like a Quadro SDI output card which has four different SDI outputs).
I am hoping to use Premiere CS5 or AE to key graphics over a live video signal through a Grass Valley switcher. I know it would be feasible using a chroma key but obviously an alpha channel gives a better key.

You may want to check out AJA for this.
As I recall their control panel software let their hardware play out Source and Matte out simultaneously for just the application you are describing.
This was outside of the NLE, as I recall.
