    Hi, everyone —

I’m having trouble getting AE for Windows and AE for Mac to play well together. My main machine is a windows XP machine, running AE 6.5 Pro. I’ve built a project with about 130 DV AVI files in it for a sequence for a movie. My production partner has a Mac and bought AE 6.5 pro to be albe to help out on the project. So, he’s copied all the AVIs to his Mac, and the AE project, and when he opens the project, all he gets is the lovely AE colorbars-with-name-of-file placeholders that we see whenever a file has been moved. If this happens in the PC, I just tell AE where one of the files has moved and zing! AE finds all the other files in the same directory.

This doesn’t happen in the Mac. He can tell the Mac where to find file 1, and the Mac will happily find it, but then it won’t continue to look for the other files in that directory.

Is there any way to make the Mac see the other files without having to “replace footage” individually for each of the, as I say, 130 files?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Dex
