I am maixing graphics with video that will be displayed on a Widesreen Plasma TV. The problem is all the footage Im working with is 4:3 (720×480). I dont mind scaling the footage to fit so they are no black bars, but Im SO confused with all the posts on hear that talk about square pixels, 720×480 widescreen, 864×705. Any clarification would be GREAT!

What do I need to do settings wise?

    Thanks.

Your base comp should be created using the DV widescreen preset. To make it look wide as you work, use the Pixel Aspect Ratio correction button.

Be sure to separate the fields (file>interpret footage>main) for your non-wide sources if they have fields and you intend to scale them up.

Maybe this article by Rick Gerard will help.
