Is plasma a good/bad/best solution to use as a large PC monitor?

I recently purchased a 27″ LCD by LG and connected to my PC by HDMI cable. It is so good, I want to go even bigger. I love not having to squint all the time and having lots of perceived real estate for my video editing.

Is there any advantage to going with plasma? Will I get any sharper image with plasma than LCD?

BTW, I have 2 – 22″ Dell monitors in addition and I do put various parts of Vegas on them.

Is a 42″ screen just too ridiculous?

Replying from my editing station equipped with a 61″ DLP by Samsung.
I have color corrected my monitor and it looks gorgeous. The extra real-estate is phenomenal.

Best thing about DLP technology… lot cheaper than LCD and certainly Plasma. Runs cool as well

    Good Luck
