May 2, 2013 at 10:58 amNever went back to MC, and I have never faced a bug in Premiere neither (I am still on CS5.5). The integration with After Effects simplifies a lot my job, and I prefer Premiere for everything.
Also, Premiere allows me to work with 4K and proxies – and I do not need to convert every frame that I import into another format.

Your reply is very helpful. I’ve had Premier as part of the Adobe arsenal for years and never opened it. I’m inclined to jump in and get wet. On the Avid front, the Nitris box is end-of-life as it pertains to 2/4K yet there’s no hint of an affordable solution from that camp.

FWIW, I found in my transition to Adobe, a book that really helped me understand how PrP works, since supporting native clips necessitates a different way of doing things from FCP or Avid.

Even after 2 years I still find that its a great reference when needed.
