Planning to Shoot in HD & 24fps
Hello everyone,
I’m producing a short film and this is my first time shooting something in 24p. I’ve heard and read of horror stories of those who try to shoot in HD & 24p.
I have the latest Avid Media Composer available through my editor, but I was hoping I can have you guys give me advice on what to avoid and how best to get success.
I’m shooting with a JVC GY HD200E.

I recommend two places for you to go for this info. The first is the Avid Community forums where there is a dedicated 24P room. Michael Philips is very active there (and visits here also) and he is the Avid wizard of all things film and 24P.

Bottom line is that 24P can be a wonderful experience or a nightmare depending upon your sources and workflow. You are very smart to get the info ahead of the game as this will make your life much easier later on.
